Two individuals were feared dead while 5 others were wounded in the robbery incidents on the Ikirun branches of two banks, on Wednesday.
It was collected that the armed-thieves that numbered 6, got entry into the financial institution at about 4pm, capturing the workers and customers unaware.
A spectator, who spoke and begged for anonymity, stated, “The robbers shot in to the air as they stormed the financial institution, scaring away clients using the ATM situated outside the financial hall.
“Upon gaining entry, they threatened to kill anyone who tried to play smart, warning the bankers to cooperate fully with them.”
The Osogbo-Ikirun road was deserted by motorists, who abandoned the road for the fear of running into the robbers.
This caused gridlock in adjoining roads in Ikirun, even as traders locked up their shops and closed for the day.
