Northern Governors Praise Vice President Sambo at 60

The Northern States Governors’ Forum has eulogised the good virtues of Vice-President Namadi Sambo, who turns 60 on Thursday.

They said he had lived a life totally committed to the socio-economic progress of Nigeria and Nigerians.

The forum’s Chairman and Governor of Niger, Babangida Aliyu, described Sambo as a man, whose life is devoted to the pursuit of excellence and good governance.

In a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Danladi Ndayebo, Aliyu said the vice-president had had a distinguished career in the private and public sectors during, which period he showed rare vision, courage and exemplary leadership.

“As a member of the Northern States Governors’ Forum, VP Sambo contributed to major decisions of the forum that brought succour and prosperity to our people,” he said.

He said that the forum was proud to be associated with the legacies of Sambo as a former Governor of Kaduna State, especially the establishment of ‘Operation Yaki’, a special security task force, which has become a huge success.

Aliyu prayed God to grant Vice-President Sambo excellent health, courage and many more years of selfless service to Nigeria and humanity.
