Introduction Of New Commercial Drivers’ Licence Will Certainly Reduce Accidents – FRSC

The introduction of the new commercial drivers’ licence will decrease crashes as only certified and healthy people will be in charge of lives when driving, says an authorities of the Federal Road Saftey Commission, Mr. Imoh Etuk.

Etuk, who is the Head of Osun Sector Command of the FRSC, mentioned this on Tuesday at the introducing of the new industrial motorists’ licence plan in Osogbo, the News Agency of Nigeria reports.

According to Etuk, the plan is to advance a better road culture and reliable information administration.

“The process for obtaining the new industrial motorists’ licence such as completion of health care test like blood pressure, vision, hearing, epilepsy, etc. will certainly go a long way in suppressing road accidents.

“Many of our commercial motorists are with one or more of these defects and it has added to lots of accidents that claimed lives of innocent people,” he explained.

Etuk specified that the plan would certainly enhance the stability of the drivers’ licence, do away with forgery with parallel and illegal production and give a thorough data source of licenced drivers.
