2 suicide vehicle bomber attached dealt the workplaces of mobile phone operators Airtel and MTN on today Saturday in Kano, killing themselves yet no civilians, police stated.
Islamist sect Boko Haram had in the past targeted phone operators, exploding telephone masts and offices, stating that the firms aid the safety forces catch its fellow members.
“The one that struck the Airtel office was shot by military guys prior to the bomb blowing up … at the MTN office the car ran into the fence yet no civilians were gotten killed,” Ibrahim Idris, the chief of police in Kano, informed Reuters.
Airtel Nigeria’s main company Bharti Airtel, India’s leading cell phone driver offered no instant remark.
The national emergency agency confirmed the bombing and stated it was not aware of any civilian casualties. The security forces have played down the fatality toll in earlier bombings.
Unconfirmed records point out 4 individuals have been feared dead in the attack. It is not however clear the reason for targeting the service providers and if there are other institutions under attack.
